Never…Ever…Ever…underestimate the power of Trauma. This is my recent hoarding client.  He was bullied ? at his job for several years which timed perfectly for when this home ? went from manageable to unmanageable. I couldn’t walk into the guest bedroom and it’s also safety issue – notice the collapsed bookshelves from too many books ?.  Right now I’m reaching out to therapists in Charlotte to find him help. If you have a family member that has a room that looks like this DO NOT JUDGE. Judging makes it worse.  HUG them. Love them and get immediate help. This poor man is in so much pain ? we can see it just in this photo. . No one, not even people who appear to suffer with hoarding disorder, want to live like this.
